Troop History-Troop 367 has been chartered since 1969, to the Houserville United Methodist Church, Houserville, Pennsylvania for the past 35 years. We are affiliated with Cub Scout Pack 67 serving the Houserville-Lemont community.Twenty-seven Eagle Scouts have come out of our Troop (Five during the past two years).
Meetings-The Troop meets Thursday evenings from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The first meeting of the month is held at the Houserville United Methodist Church. The following meetings are held at the Mount Nittany United Methodist Church in Lemont. The meetings primarily consist of basic skills development and physical exercise. Merit Badge opportunities and guest speakers have been popular with the Scouts during the winter months.
Summer Camp-The Troop alternates each year from the Juniata Valley Council Camp (7 Mts.) to a nearby BSA Council Camp. The Troop attends summer camp at Seven Mts. Scout Camp which is owned and operated by the Juniata Valley Council, BSA.
High Adventure Outings-The Troop sent a crew out to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada in 2003 for a high adventure canoe trip. The Troop has also sent a second crew to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada in 2006 for a high adventure canoe trip.
The Troop sent a crew to Philmont Scout Ranch in July 2004. The Crew conducted numerous practice hikes in the spring of 2004. We will be sending out a different crew this year to Philmont Scout Ranch in August of 2007. The crew will again be conducting numerous practice hikes in the spring of 2007.
The Troop has also sent a crew to The Florida Sea Base in 2005. They went on the out-island adventure. The Troop will be sending another crew to The Florida Sea Base in 2008. This time the crew will be going on the sucba diving adventure.
